It's time for some new material for the 2008 racing season. Please add the material directly to the website or forward to me and I will add it. New pictures of cars, changes to cars, your planned race schedule for 08, interesting rumors? My schedule appears to be: Gingerman,  Waterford Hills, Grattan, so far. I will miss Pittsburgh this year as we will be in Maine....Paul.

Info from John Ruth. Plans to make: SVRA Mid Ohio June 26-28, Waterford Historics August 1-3, VSCDA Grattan August 15-17, SVRA Watkins Glen Sept 4-7, MGVR Event Sept.

John's B originally ran SCCA EP from 1966-1979 under the team banner TEAM CHEAP, a group from the Grand Rapids area. This past Winter he actually located another ex-TEAM CHEAP car, an Austin Healey Sprite, and is in the process of getting the cars history. He's attempting to put together a TEAM CHEAP reunion at VSCDA Grattan and hopes to get the Sprite there for a photo op.

Savannah 45th Anniversary of Formula V..Barry advises that he and Linda headed to Savannah for the big FV event. 85 degree weather while most of us were still shoveling snow. Barry's car ran well and he was able to finish and put it back on the trailer none the worse for wear.
Greg went to Hallett for an official drivers school in order to get his SCCA Regional license. Car ran well. Both cars are back with Barry. They will be displaying Greg's car at their church as part of a pinewood derby Grand Prix. Greg is the announcer for the event.

There has got to be more news out there, let's hear from you!!!!

Gingerman School/Race May 1-4...Although the weather forecast was bad the weekend turned out quite good although we had some showers and serious wind and rain at night. We had 33 students for the school and 31 completed the program. Rusty Nutters attending with race cars were Tom Pixley, Tom Davis, Tim Covert, Bob Maurer, John DeSpelder (running his GTI on Thursday night as he has run into some concerns on his Mini) and Paul Cowan. Others there and really helping out were Jim Austhoff with Dan, Rob Ritt and Mike Pixley. The electrical gremlins haunted Tom P and Tim all weekend, Tom D ended up with a leaking master cylinder and didn't run Sunday, Bob was overheating until we flushed his radiator, I have new gearing in my transmission and had a hard time finding 3rd only on the upshifts. Bill H thinks it is a linkage problem.
All cars seemed to run very well at times, a good sign for the season. The Club dinner on Saturday evening was excellent. .....Paul
